The air in our interview room is filled with salt and the distinct smell of seaweed. Meet Tessa Harrison, Ocean Fae, and Captain Maxwell Stokes, Cursed sea captain! Q: May I offer you something to drink?

Tessa: Vanilla latté with extra foam and chocolate shavings on top.

Maxwell: Red wine from the dragons’ vineyards.

Q: I hope you had some time to recover from your last adventure in „Shatter”. Tell me, what is your favorite relaxing pastime?

Tessa: Deep sea diving.

Maxwell: As I’m doomed to sailed the oceans for all eternity, it’s hard to get time off.

Q: Where did you grow up? Do you have fond memories of your childhood?

Tessa: I was adopted, but my parents were great. I enjoyed seaside vacations the best.

Maxwell: I grew up in Pomandine, where my family ruled.

Q: Whom or what do you really hate?

Tessa: Cormac, my ex-boyfriend.

Maxwell: Cormac, King of the Ocean Fae.

Q: What is your biggest fear?

Tessa: I witnessed a murder, and now I’m on the run.

Maxwell: That I will be unable to save Faery.

Q: What makes you smile?

Tessa: A great night at the casino.

Maxwell: A beautiful woman.

Q: I’d love to hear about your future plans. Is there anything you can reveal?

Tessa: I’m taking an Alaska cruise to get out of town.

Maxwell: I’m doomed. It’s hard to make plans.
